The thickness of the core of the FK8 standard radiator is 27 mm, but the water temperature during sports driving will exceed 100°C with the 2.0L Turbo. In order to fully demonstrate the performance of the engine, it is essential to suppress water temperature rise. Generally, as the thickness of the core is thicker, the cooling efficiency seems to rise, but in fact, air is harder to move through due to the added thickness decreasing the radiators efficiency, while also increasing the weight of the unit itself. Therefore, the SPOON core thickness was increased to an optimal 36 mm. Cooling efficiency is further improved by optimizing the fin shape. The factory fan shroud and condenser can also be installed. An additional 1/8PT bung is included for the ability to add a sensor. Made in Japan.
