The OEM plastic piece is prone to steam erosion and cracking over time — swapping it for a mirror polished aluminium replacement eliminates that risk and tidies up the engine bay at the same time. As a bonus, it includes a built-in 1/8" PT sensor port, making it easy to add a coolant temperature sensor for a gauge or data logger.

Important: This filler neck is not compatible with the OEM radiator cap. A new Type-A radiator cap must be purchased separately. Additionally, the sensor port accepts 1/8" PT threaded sensors only — it does not suit 1/8" NPT sensors. Confirm your sensor thread type before installation.
