While inheriting the philosophy and aesthetic sense of the TYPE-R Single, the dual layout was reconstructed to find the optimum solution for the new generation Skyline, the RV37, and has been completed as a new presence that combines strength and balance, power and refinement.

The Skyline has a long history in Japan as one of Nissan's signature sports sedans.
Its appealing philosophy and driving style extend beyond the domestic market, and it is now sold globally under the name INFINITI Q50
. Skyline in Japan, INFINITI Q50 overseas. Though they have different names, the two are siblings developed under the common vehicle model, the RV37
. Despite their different markets and brands, the driving philosophy that the Skyline has always cherished remains at their core.
In the early RV37 generation, the INFINITI Q50 for the North American market was equipped with a naturally aspirated V6 engine, the VQ37VHR
. The pleasant feeling of revving up to high rpm and the straightforward response to throttle input
are unique to the VQ series and remain highly acclaimed features to this day.
The RV37 was later offered with a new option: a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo (VR30DDTT)
. Rather than replacing the VQ37VHR, this V6
engine was developed as a modern V6 with a focus on torque, power, and ease of everyday use.
The VQ37VHR is fun to rev up to high RPMs, while the VR30DDTT delivers ample torque even at low RPMs.
Both V6 engines offer unique appeal, and the ability to choose the right fit for your needs and preferences is a major draw for the RV37 generation. Currently, the RV37 offers a rare combination of V6 engine and front-engine, rear-wheel drive, with the 400R
in Japan and the INFINITI Q50 Red Sport 400 overseas at the forefront. Moreover, the RV37 boasts high performance and is now available at a very reasonable price point as a base vehicle for tuning. This situation is unlikely to continue forever, making it a truly attractive option at this time. It offers the practicality of a four-door sedan, handling city driving, road trips, and family trips, while also offering the driving pleasure of a V6, rear-wheel drive. Cars like these are sure to become increasingly valuable in the future. That's why RSE embarked on this development project with the desire to "take another good look at this wonderful base vehicle" and "bring out the potential of the RV37, regardless of generation or specification." The Skyline/INFINITI Q50 (RV37) is a truly valuable vehicle in this day and age, where you can enjoy the joy of finishing a car, regardless of the difference in engine.
In 2021, RSE and TOMEI USA announced the TYPE-R full titanium muffler for the RV37
. The concept behind its development was "The Art of Single . "
It was an extremely simple and honest idea: performance was our top priority, rather than visual impact or volume.
The main pipe features an 89.1mm straight-through design and a thoroughly optimized exhaust path.
This aimed to fully capture the engine's pulse, rotation, and true feel.
The results were clear. The TYPE-R full titanium muffler for the RV37 has sold over several thousand units worldwide, making it one of the most successful exhausts in the history of RSE/TOMEI USA.
Originally, the Skyline was a model that relied on single-sided exhausts throughout its long history, up until the BNR34 model.
Dual-exit designs were never commonplace in the Skyline context.
That's why we wanted to value the "single" design for the RV37 as well. Lightweight and delivering reliable power. Returning to its origins, the company began developing its first Skyline muffler for the RV37 in 2021.
The TYPE-R full titanium muffler continues to be popular with many users today for its lightness and response made possible by its single layout, and for its ability to enhance the driving quality of the Skyline.
After years of prototyping and thorough testing, the TYPE-D dual exhaust system has been perfected.
Its foundation is the RSE DNA of "function over form . "
While inheriting the philosophy of the single exhaust, it has been elevated to a true dual configuration that meets modern performance needs.

At idle, a subdued, subdued low frequency resonates quietly. Step on the throttle, and the dry, textured midrange rises. At higher RPMs, the sound evolves into the sharp, clear high notes characteristic of the Skyline.
It's not simply an exhaust note aimed at volume or power; it's an instrument designed to express the sound itself, naturally blending with the engine's pulsation, revs, and driver input.
The TYPE-D is not an extension of what already exists.
It's a choice made to embrace the value the Skyline name has built up and give it a modern expression.
While the TYPE-R was focused on lightness and functionality, the TYPE-D takes a step further, striving for perfection in form, sound, and appearance. It's
not just about performance; it's about a total refinement of everything from the driving feel to the rearview.
This balance is the performance RSE x TOMEI USA has incorporated into this project.
When choosing an exhaust system, stainless steel is likely the first material that comes to mind for many.
We fully understand its durability, cost, and practicality.
However, RSE x TOMEI USA's commitment to titanium for this project wasn't simply due to a desire to use a better material.
Its lightness improves the overall balance of the vehicle, improving response and providing a naturally agility-filled driving experience. We believe that the inherent qualities of the Skyline/INFINITI Q50 (RV37) are more readily apparent when all these factors are combined. We
certainly don't want to dismiss other materials. However, after carefully considering the RV37, a wonderful base vehicle, titanium was the most natural and honest choice for us. We hope
this exhaust system can make your time with the Skyline/INFINITI Q50 (RV37) even slightly more comfortable. That's the thought that led us to create this product.
